Clopidogrel is used for the prevention of atherothrombotic events in the following patients: 1. Patients with recent myocardial infarction, patients with recent ischemic stroke or patients with confirmed peripheral arterial disease. 2. Patients with acute coronary syndrome. 3. Non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (including unstable angina or non-Q wave myocardial infarction), including patients with stent placement after percutaneous coronary intervention. 4. Patients with ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome.
