The international editor-in-chief of Current Opinion in psychiatry, Prof. DAVID J KUPFER, and the academician of the American Academy of Medicine, Prof. ELLEN FRANK, the Peking University Sixth Hospital, and the Beijing Medical Association Depression Disorder Branch exchange activities were successfully held.
On August 23, he is currently the International Editor-in-Chief of Current Opinion in psychiatry, Director of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Member of the National Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the DSM-5 Working Group, former Chairman of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) founder Prof. DAVID J KUPFER and emeritus professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, member of the US Medical College, chairman of the US Food and Drug Administration Psychopharmacology Drug Advisory Group, chairman of the US Psychopsychiatry, chairman of the Ethics Committee, Professor ELLEN FRANK, Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), Vice Chairman, Member of the National Advisory Council on Mental Health, Chairman of the APA DSM-5 Task Force Mood Disorders Working Group, and Chief Scientist of HealthRhythms, arrived at Peking University Sixth Hospital and the Depression Disorder Branch of the Beijing Medical Association, and launched exchange activities with nearly 200 domestic doctors and student representatives, which kicked off a 10-day visit and exchange activity in China. Yue Weihua, vice president of Peking University Sixth Hospital, and Wang Gang, president of Beijing Anding Hospital, attended the academic exchange.

Before the meeting, the representative of the hospital led two international experts to visit the laboratory of the Sixth Hospital of Beijing Medical University, so that the two experts had a certain understanding of the level of domestic psychiatric scientific research. Chang delivered a welcome speech, expressing his warm welcome to the visit of international experts and a brief introduction to the situation in the hospital.


Prof. DAVID J KUPFER gave a detailed introduction on "The Latest Developments in International Research on Bipolar Disorders". Prof. ELLEN FRANK shared the topics of "Latest Advances in Cohort Research in the Field of Mental Illness" and "New Thoughts on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Depression", Macau Professor Xiang Yutao of the University shared the "Application of Evidence-Based Medicine in Clinical Research on Mood Disorders in China". The participating doctors and three experts actively interacted with each other. Since there was no language barrier, the two sides quickly got to know each other and were very fond of each other. exchanged topics and became friends. Although they are usually at opposite ends of the earth, they have so much in common, and they are so passionate and persistent in their struggle to realize their dreams.




After the event, the participating doctors were reluctant to part with these American friends who came from afar. They hoped to participate in similar events in the future and get to know more international friends. The participating experts took a group photo with the two international friends.
