On December 9, 2018, the editorial board of the first Chinese edition of Current Opinion in Psychiatry (COP) was held in Shenzhen.

     Professor Lu Lin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, honorary editor-in-chief of the Chinese version of the COP, and president of the Sixth Hospital of Peking University, delivered an opening speech. Professor Lu Lin expressed high praise and recognition for the work of all the editorial boards of the Chinese version of the COP. The Chinese version of COP for the hard work, and congratulations to everyone for their achievements.

     Professor Wang Gaohua, President of the Psychiatrist Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and editor-in-chief of the Chinese version of COP, gave important guidance on the future development of the Chinese version of the COP: "The Chinese version of the COP should be oriented to clinicians, doctors, and patients, and we must pay attention to the voices of readers. , readers' opinions, readers' feelings, strengthen the feedback and collection of readers' information, pay more attention to the readers' feelings in the content, editing, and typesetting of articles, and constantly create professional and innovative ones, excavate and transmit the field of contemporary psychiatry New knowledge, more services for clinicians and patients in the mental health field.”

     Professor Wang Huiling, Director of the Compilation Department of COP Chinese Edition, introduced the overview of the first year of operation: a complete editorial committee has been established, and the journal operation adheres to three aspects: oriented to clinicians, oriented to doctors, and oriented to patients. Since its inception, the Chinese version of Current Opinion in Psychiatry has successfully published three issues, with 5,000 copies in each issue; nearly 20,000 copies have been issued, and 27 national tour lectures have been completed, affecting more than 6,000 clinicians!

     Professor Hu Shaohua, Deputy Director of the Mental Health Center of the First Hospital of Zhejiang University and Executive Editor-in-Chief of the 3rd issue of the Chinese version of COP, gave a lecture on the 3rd issue of the magazine.

     Professor Wang Xiaoping, Director of the Department of Psychiatry at the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese version of COP, explained the 4th issue of the journal, introduced the issues of concern to the editorial board, and explained in detail the selected article "Substance Use in DSM-5 and ICD10 and ICD11 Drafts" and Addiction Disorders” and invites readers to speak on stage.

     Ms. Bao Danhua, Marketing Director of Foncoo Pharmaceuticals, briefly introduced that the Chinese version of the COP in 2019 has added a lot of innovations, combined with the development of China's mental health field, the communication between domestic and foreign experts, and the addition of the electronic version of the Chinese version of the COP. section. Members of the editorial board had a lively discussion and expressed their opinions on the development of the COP Chinese edition in 2019, the operation plan, thematic content, and the direction of topic selection.

     Afterwards, the editorial committees of each issue gathered together and put forward valuable opinions on the future operation of the journal, including: suggestions and expectations for the operation of the COP journal; how to increase the communication between editorial committees and readers through the journal platform; Suggestions on topic selection, etc.

     Finally, Prof. Wang Gaohua, the host of the conference and the editor-in-chief of the Chinese version of COP, made a concluding speech. At the same time, he thanked all the editorial board experts for their active participation, and summarized everyone's overall opinions: centering on readers, centering on doctors; planning the core theme of each issue , highlight key articles, interpret from different angles, comprehensively interpret and analyze from experts, compilers, doctors, readers, applications, etc. Make full use of new media in terms of publicity and promotion, carry out publicity and recommendation, so that more practitioners in the field of mental health can read, communicate and exchange.
